PR announces big discount on new train service

Starting on Labour Day, Pakistan Railways will be offering a 20 percent discount on the Shalimar train service. A 20% discount has been granted on Shalimar Express tickets from May 1 through May 15, according to a statement from PR. From May 1 to May 15, travelers on the Shalimar Express will receive discounts of up to 20% on all classes.

Pakistan Railways stated that a “10% discount can be av­ailed on tickets for May 16-31.” The Shalimar Express will resume service from Lahore to Karachi on May 1 with Sahiwal as the destination instead of Faisalabad, according to the Railway Department. The 19 carriages of the high-speed railway have been refurbished at Mughalpura Workshop to improve the facilities.
