Rayyanah Barnawi, the first woman from Saudi Arabia who went into space on a private mission run by Axiom Space, has been on Twitter about her trip.
One of the two Saudi astronauts, Barnawi, left on the voyage to the International Space Station (ISS) from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Regarding space exploration, this second private flight to the ISS represents a crucial turning point. Breast cancer researcher Barnawi and fighter pilot Ali Al-Qarni made history by becoming the first Saudi woman to travel to space.
Barnawai is seen actively sharing films with everyone who is following her historic journey while she is in space.
She sometimes appears in group videos taken in space with other astronauts, and at other times she may be seen inside the space station showing her grandmother’s earrings.
A beautiful Masjid al-Haram in Makkah was captured on camera in Barnawi’s most recent video that she posted on Twitter.
The Grand Mosque is shown shining brightly in her film, which was taken from miles away from Earth. The city’s appearance resembles sparkling veins seen from space.
The astronaut posted on Twitter, saying, “After I finished my experiments for today, we just so happened to pass over Makkah Al-Mukarramah.”
In her tweet, she added, “Light upon light.”
The young astronaut can be heard commenting that the entire kingdom is gleaming in the video.
“Look, I’m trying to show it to you. She points the camera in the direction of the glittering city from space and declares, “This is Makkah.
The Holy Mosque is this. Look out the brightness that Makkah is. Madinah has already passed. Allah be praised, she says in the video.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket flew earlier this month from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral to carry the Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2) crew on their voyage.
Along with Barnawi and Al-Qarni, the crew also comprises former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, who is making her fourth trip to the ISS, and Tennessee businessman John Shoffner, who is flying into space.
Being the first Saudi woman astronaut, Barnawi expressed her extreme joy and honor during a news conference. She expressed the desire to share her experiences with children as well as her excitement about the study she will carry out in space.
