The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) results in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have been announced.

According to a spokesperson from Khyber Medical University, Fatima Zahra Ali and Muhammad Mudassir, she secured the top spot, scoring 194 marks.

Close behind, Muhammad Hazeel and Waheedullah achieved second place with 193 marks.

Third place was shared by eight candidates: Muhammad Hamza Ali, Kanwal Akhtar, Kashan Waheed, Zobia Anas, Muhammad Abdullah Khan, Syed Mujtaba Hussain, Amna Riaz, and Azam Khan, each scoring 192 marks.

The medical admission test, held nationwide on Sunday, was conducted under the supervision of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) had requested law enforcement agencies to ensure strict security measures for a smooth and secure examination process.

According to the spokesperson, the test in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was conducted at 13 centers across seven districts, with 41,671 students participating in total.

Over 24,000 students qualified for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) programs, while more than 21,000 qualified for MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). Additionally, 670 students scored between 180 and 200 marks.

Section 144 was enforced during the MDCAT exam to maintain order, with violators facing legal action. Advanced surveillance technology was used to monitor the centers, ensuring a fair process.

Candidates were also warned against any unethical practices, with strict penalties in place for cheating attempts.

A total of 58,380 students had registered for the MDCAT exam in Punjab, 38,678 in Sindh, 42,329 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5,806 in Balochistan, 18,408 in Islamabad, 3,145 in Azad Kashmir, 739 in Gilgit-Baltistan, along with 259 international students.
