Registration for the Honhaar Scholarship Programme has officially begun in Punjab, as reported by News. This scholarship initiative aims to align with global job market demands by awarding scholarships to 30,000 students annually across 68 different disciplines.
Students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges will be eligible for the scholarships.
Additionally, scholarships will also be available to students from leading private universities, including LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, and seven other top institutions.
In total, students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges will benefit from the Honhaar Scholarships.
Over eight years, the program will allocate scholarships totaling 130 billion rupees. Within the next four years, it is expected that 120,000 students will benefit.

Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thanks to Allah, the Almighty, I have fulfilled another promise from my first speech.
” She emphasized that the Honhaar Scholarship Programme is a significant achievement, stating that it will remove financial obstacles for deserving students who aspire to pursue higher education.
Maryam Nawaz further stressed that the program is intended to help young people achieve their educational aspirations, enabling them to pursue advanced degrees and reach their goals.
“We are committed to offering higher education and creating excellent job opportunities for our youth,” she added.
