Changan Pakistan is gearing up to make a significant impact at the Pakistan Auto Show 2024 by unveiling the Lumin, a new budget-friendly electric hatchback.
Following the launch of its premium electric vehicle sub-brand, Deepal, Changan is now shifting focus towards affordable options with the Lumin.
This 3-door electric hatchback features front-wheel drive and is powered by a permanent magnet motor, offering two battery choices: a 13 kWh and an 18 kWh, providing a range of 155 km and 210 km, respectively.
The Lumin delivers 41 horsepower and can reach a top speed of 100 km/h. Initially launched in China in June 2022, this compact hatchback is designed for urban driving, with dimensions of 3,270 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width, and 1,545 mm in height.
Its introduction represents a significant advancement for affordable electric vehicles in Pakistan. As other budget-friendly EVs like Dewan Motors’ Honri Ve are already available, Changan’s Lumin aims to broaden the choices for environmentally conscious consumers and support the growth of Pakistan’s electric vehicle market.
