The ‘Team of the Tournament’ for the 2025 Champions Trophy has been announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It includes 12 players, one of these is from India.

The ICC’s selected team features players from just three of the eight teams who competed in the tournament. With six players, India is in first place, followed by Afghanistan with two and New Zealand with four.

Notably, neither players from host Pakistan nor those from South Africa or Australia, the semi-finalists, made the cut.

The team includes Mohammad Shami, Varun Chakravarthy, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Virat Kohli of India. Participating are Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra from New Zealand.

Axar Patel of India is listed as the 12th man, while Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai of Afghanistan round out the lineup.

In addition to highlighting India’s dominance in the tournament, the selection also recognizes important players from Afghanistan and New Zealand for their outstanding performance.
