Federal Cabinet to Donate 1-Month Salary to PM’s Relief Fund for Turkey and Syria

The salaries of all Ministers, Ministers of State, Advisors, and Special Assistants (SAPMs) would be donated to the “Prime Minister Relief Fund for Turkey and Syria Earthquake Victims.”

According to a formal document from the Finance Division made available to Shout Me Please, government employees in grade 17 and up, including those working in MP-Scales and other special Government Scales, will also donate one day’s pay to the “Prime Minister Relief Fund for Turkey Earthquake Victims.”

According to the document, the donation amount won’t be taken into account when determining an officer’s remuneration for purposes of deducting income tax and recovering house rent charges.

The Federal Government’s public accounts shall be credited with all funds received in the name of the Fund under the following headings:

G12:Special Deposit Funds

G12:1Relief Fund

G12166: Turkiye earthquake victims’ flood relief fund established by the prime minister

The government this week established the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Turkey’s Earthquake Victims to raise money for the country, which was shaken by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on February 6.
