A day after falling in the local market, gold prices increased in Pakistan. Expensive metal prices saw a little decline in the global market but an increase in the local market.
On Friday, the price of gold in Pakistan climbed by Rs1,000 to Rs206,000 per tola and by Rs858 to Rs176,610 for each 10g. Early this week, the price of gold increased for a day before falling by more than Rs2,000. Market analysts linked the ups and downs to the IMF’s recovery.
In the meantime, Rupee declined against the US dollar today, falling 0.31 percent in the inter-bank market.
PKR lost Re0.86 versus the US dollar and ended the day at 277.90, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
