Mohsin Naqvi, the caretaker chief minister of Punjab, took a risk by waiving tuition fees for Kashmiri students attending schools in the province.
Around 200 children will benefit from this move, which also includes giving them laptop computers. The traffic police will provide driving licenses to these students, making it simpler for them to travel and continue their education.
Students from Kashmir studying in Punjab met with the interim CM and expressed appreciation for the province’s attempts to show unity with their people.
Additionally, the Bank of Punjab has been instructed to open accounts for these students, simplifying their ability to manage their finances.
A prayer was offered throughout the meeting in memory of those who were lost in the recent earthquake in Turkey.
Turkey was shaken by a large earthquake on Monday morning, which claimed several lives and left extensive damage.
