According to recent sources, the Lahore Zoo and Safari Park will be completely upgraded with the support of Interim Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
The Lahore Zoo and Safari Park will both receive new animals and birds as a result of the project. These include animals like pandas, hippos, rhinoceroses, African pigeons, black jaguars, pumas, and Chiltan Markhors (a kind of wild goat).
A modern aquarium with 142 different species of marine life will also be part of the improvement at Lahore Zoo and Safari Park. The conversion of the animal enclosures into top-notch cages will ensure the residents’ welfare and comfort.
The Safari Park will change, with the addition of new, unique zones including the African zone, the desert, and the salt range. A unique opportunity for guests to see nocturnal wildlife will also be provided by the introduction of a night safari experience.
CM Naqvi has ordered the installation of an electronic ticketing system for the Lahore Zoo and Safari Park to simplify guest access. Both facilities will adhere to international standards, he added, and he promised to improve other guest amenities.
The announcement took place at a meeting that CM Naqvi presided over, during which he was given a thorough explanation of the elaborate upgrading plan.
High-ranking government representatives, including the Punjab Chief Secretary, Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, Chairman of Planning and Development, Secretaries of several departments, DG Wildlife, and others, were present at the meeting.
