Mir Hamza exits Test squad due to leg injury

Hamza, instead of bowling, has been focusing on strengthening his glutes with the help of physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon. His rehabilitation involves exercises like glute bridges and clam shells, using resistance bands.

According to sources within the PCB, Hamza is likely to need approximately three weeks to fully recover, putting his participation in Pakistan’s upcoming white-ball series in Australia in doubt.

Pakistan is preparing for a three-match ODI and T20I series in Australia this November. The team is scheduled to depart for Melbourne on October 29, with training sessions set to take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 1 and 2. There will also be an optional practice session on November 3, just ahead of the first ODI on November 4.

Schedule for Pakistan’s Australia White-Ball Tour:

  • November 4: Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne (Day/Night)
  • November 8: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide (Day/Night)
  • November 10: Perth Stadium, Perth (Day/Night)
