Pakistan Set to Make 2 Changes to World Cup 2023 Team

This week, the National Selection Committee is expected to reveal the team for the coming World Cup 2023, which will begin on October 5 in India.

Pakistan may have to alter their lineup due to the injury sustained by renowned pacer Naseem Shah during the recently finished Asia Cup 2023.

To strengthen the bowling unit, Hasan Ali is reportedly expected to replace the injured Naseem Shah in the squad.

As the spin contingent for the national team faltered at the Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan is additionally thinking about improving their spin attacking options.

As a result, Usama Mir, a leg spinner, has been replaced by Abrar Ahmed, a mystery spinner, in the squad for the awaited major event.

The Pakistan Cricket Board stated in a statement last week that they would choose Naseem Shah’s inclusion after speaking with physicians.

Babar Azam expressed optimism that the 20-year-old fast bowler would return in the second round of the Asia Cup following the final match.

On October 6 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Pakistan will play the opening match of the 2023 World Cup against the Netherlands.
