On Wednesday, the cost of a tola of gold in Pakistan ascended slightly, finishing the day at Rs. 223,000.
The price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 800 per tola to Rs. 223,000, and the price of 10 kilos got by Rs. 686 to close at Rs. 191,187, according to figures given by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
Yesterday, the price of gold was constant after several days of fluctuation. The price of gold fell by Rs. 2,500 per tola on Monday, the first day of the week.
It is important to note that the price of the precious metal plummeted to Rs. 204,000 per tola on July 12 from an all-time high of Rs. 240,000 per tola in May.
However, since then, the price has increased.
At 1133 GMT, spot gold was up 0.5 percent to $1,952.79 per ounce on the international market, while US gold futures were up 0.6 percent to $1,989.90.
