The season for weddings has truly started! While there have been rumors of multiple celebs being married in the final month of 2023, there has already been one royal wedding. Over the weekend in Lahore, cricket player Imamul Haq tied the knot with his “best friend” and true love, Anmol Mehmood, in an extravagant wedding.
The who’s who of cricket attended the festivities, which included a Qawwali, a Mehendi night, the big day, and the reception. Among the guests at the wedding were Hassan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and other close friends of Imam, including the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Babar Azam.
On the other hand, Anmol appeared perfect as she nailed some of the most beautiful wedding ensembles this year. Having said that, we cannot lightly ignore the Imam’s beautiful attire from the wedding. The couple’s outfits for the four events are listed below.
Mehendi
When designer Hassan Shehryar Yasin (HSY) posted three images of the bride, Anmol, on Instagram with the caption “Imam Ki Anmol,” the wedding started to gain notice. Many thought that the well-known cricket player was finally settling down based on his previous post.
Anmol wore a traditional HSY Farshi gharara with a greatly covered scarlet shirt while posing at the beautiful locations.
The ensemble is elegantly decorated with a variety of well-performed embroidery styles, gota work, jewelry, and chattapatti edging. “With true attention to detail, the ensemble features a harmonious blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and breathtaking aesthetics,” the designer said.
Qawwali night:
The couple selected HSY again for their Qawwali night. Anmol looks beautiful in a soft lilac gown with silver accents. She accessorized her engagement ring on one hand and chose a delicate diamond necklace and drop earrings. She went for a little lip and gentle eye makeup, and her hair looked perfectly blow-dried. In contrast, the groom opted for a dark kurta pajama with mirrorwork details.
Wedding:
Wedding: Anmol wore a beautifully embroidered saree, specially designed for the event, by Zainab Salman. The drape was paired with an ornate pastel veil adorned with gold stitching. She wore a matha-patti and selected oversized traditional jewelry.
She also had beautiful makeup. For her wedding attire, she chose a delicate pink lip and a dark, smoky eye. Many were reminded of Katrina Kaif’s Sabyasachi saree at her reception by her choice to wear a saree on the wedding day.
Imam, however, appeared in a pajama and sherwani by Republic by Omar Farooq that were pastel in color. He completed his ensemble with a qula or matching turban.
Reception
Of the two, we think this one is our favorite! Anmol looked stunning at their reception in a pastel Lajwanti gharara with a shirt and dupatta that matched. Zahra Sarfaraz, the stylist, seems to have perfectly captured the essence of a royal bride with her gold-embroidered attire! Anmol embellished her ensemble with an ornate teeka and jhumar, opting for a Kundan neckpiece and matching earrings. On the other hand, he dressed his bride in a silk tie that matched the color of Anmol’s reception dress, matching his black three-piece suit. We adore how the couple looked at their latest event.
