Punjab Will Not Issue Driving Licenses because of a System Problem

A significant problem has arisen with the Driving License Issuance Management System, leading to a suspension of all driving license services throughout Punjab, including Lahore.

This issue has disrupted the issuance of learner’s permits, renewals, new licenses, and international driving permits. CTO Ammara Athar has confirmed that the disruption is due to technical difficulties within the system.

The Punjab Information Technology Board’s (PITB) team is currently working to resolve these issues. As a result, the processing of driving licenses has come to a complete standstill while the system undergoes necessary upgrades and fixes.

This means that individuals looking to obtain a learner’s permit, renew an existing license, or apply for a new or international driving license will face delays.

The CTO has reassured the public that efforts are being made to address the technical problems and restore normal operations as soon as possible.
