Salman Noman, a teenage YouTuber who became the first Pakistani to obtain the diamond button from YouTube, was honored during a celebration held at the Governor House on Wednesday by the Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori.
Noman received a gold medal and a certificate of appreciation for his remarkable achievement of gaining 13 million YouTube subscribers at the event.
According to Governor Tessori, Pakistan has a lot of potentials. The young people of Pakistan, he continued, are quite capable and can do everything they set their minds to, given the right encouragement.
The governor thought it was a luxury for the nation that young people made up 60% of the population and saw children like Noman as key resources.
The Governor also emphasized the significance of information technology (IT), saying that after Eid, 50,000 young people will receive free IT training classes at the Governor’s House.
